We have a new opportunity at Harrogate Borough Council for a Maintenance Surveyor to join the team based in Harrogate. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week and in return will receive a highly competitive salary of GBP23,866 - GBP25,463 per annum!
Harrogate Borough Council's Property Services Team is responsible for maintaining council dwellings and public buildings and has high standards of customer care. In conjunction with the In House Maintenance Team, the team delivers a high quality customer focussed service over a large geographical area.
The Maintenance Surveyor Role
We are looking for a self-motivated, well organised qualified Maintenance Surveyor who has the ability to communicate well and build strong working relationships at all levels. The role will require you to supervise capital and planned programmes of works across our portfolio utilising both the In House Maintenance Team and external contractors.
Our Ideal Maintenance Surveyor
You will be required to demonstrate a sound technical knowledge of construction and maintenance techniques, effective diagnostic, drawing (AutoCad), and back office skills including Microsoft products. Experience of working in Social Housing, and in particular Disability Facilities Grant aided works would be beneficial, although not essential.
