Monday to Friday 9.15am to 4.45pm

Main Duties

• Lead a small team of staff and volunteers
• Oversee the preparation of preparation of food and drinks
• Ensure strict compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and other requirements regarding food hygiene and ensure the best practice at all times
• Ensure regular and thorough cleaning of all relevant work areas and equipment and the liaise with the centre's cleaners
• Promote high levels of customer care and service
• Plan staff rotas and oversee the allocation of holidays to ensure continuous service
• Order food and other items from a range of suppliers and ensure we are getting the best deal for supplies
• Operate and be responsible for the income and complete all relevant administration including accounting sheets and regular banking of cafe takings in accordance with procedures
• Work with the Chief Officer to generate income from additional events in the caf??. This may be from a) opening the centre and caf?? at weekends or b) hiring the centre out for private functions, providing catering and a bar; or c) running social evenings, providing catering and a bar
• Be prepared to occasionally work flexible hours to assist with fundraising events at weekends and evenings as directed, from time to time, by the Chief Officer
