This is a rewarding opportunity for a Support Worker to join a small care team to support a man with a brain injury to live independently in his own home.

We are looking for a Male* Support Worker with experience to assist 1:1 with all aspects of his day to day living, whilst ensuring his wellbeing.

As the client has an active social life, with regular gym sessions, and travelling, you must be able to drive and support the client in his chosen activities.

Duties include:

  • Driving the client to his activities
  • Attending social outings
  • Daily cooking and housework
  • Assisting with personal care and wellbeing  

You will need:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Proficient use of the English language
  • NVQ  Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care – preferred  

Working Hours

Shifts: 10am to 11pm followed by a sleep-in to 7am and input to 10am (24 hours)

You must be able to work two shifts rostered together for continuity for the client i.e. a 48 hours shift. The contracted hours are 168 hours over a 4 week rota.  

Availability is required to cover planned rota shifts with some flexibility for additional hours at short notice.

Pay rates:

Monday - Friday £12.18 per hour

Saturday - Sunday £14.12 per hour

Monday - Thursday sleep-in £62.64 per 8 hour sleep-in night shift

Friday - Sunday sleep-in £62.91 per 8 hour sleep-in night shift

An enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
