Early Years Practitioner

This busy, friendly and well-established Nursery with a very committed staff, is looking for a full time Early Years Practitioner to join their team.

This nursery is well known for its nurturing environment for both children and staff. They provide great training opportunities for well motivated people to further their career in childcare and development. They are looking for a fully qualified nursery practitioner (to at least SVQ3 or equivalent), with knowledge of The Curriculum for Excellence and Pre-Birth to Three, to join their team.

The successful candidate will be a caring and nurturing individual with a passion for working with children. They will be able to work co-operatively with a large, supportive, happy team. Daily duties include planning and implementing activities and experiences for their key-children and ensuring that the children's well-being is foremost, liaising with parents and other agencies, observing and recording, planning next steps and maintaining records.

While experience is desirable, a willingness to learn and enthusiasm will also be taken into consideration.

Candidates must be SSSC and PVG registered, so newly graduated candidates must be willing to register with both.

The nursery operates a shift system between the hours of 8am and 6pm five days a week.

They are situated in the West End of Glasgow within easy walking distance of the underground and many bus routes. They are very fortunate to be located in the heart of the West End and spend time every day out and about visiting museums, parks, libraries and local businesses.
