Salary: £24,844 - £32,301 per annum dependant on experience (full time post equivalent to band 5, part time post equivalent to band 6)

Hours: Full time and part time hours considered (full time preferred for band 5 post)
Type: Permanent, 52 weeks (term time considered for part time post)

Our client runs Outstanding (Ofsted) special School and Specialist College together with 17 on-site residential homes for children and young people with complex learning disabilities, physical disabilities and multisensory impairments. Both posts will be based in the college.

Due to expansion, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for two new Occupational Therapists to join their multi-disciplinary therapy team to provide in depth assessment and intervention plans for young people with a variety of complex needs, including physical and learning difficulties, multi-sensory impairment, communication difficulties, autism and challenging behaviour.

Requirements

Candidates for this role must have a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification (BSc or MSc), must be registered as a practitioner with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and be willing to register with the British Association of Occupational Therapists. Candidates must have a desire to work with people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours and an interest in Ayres sensory integration. Ideally they will have experience of working with this client group as an Occupational Therapist and some level of sensory integration training.
