We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who shares our passion to help solve schools' problems. What we do makes a real impact in schools by increasing parental engagement, freeing up more time for teachers and driving pupil attainment.

As a Business Development Manager you will be expected to make contact with every Local Authority, School and Academy within your region and do a complete analysis and assess their software requirements.

Key Responsibilities:-

Strategically market mapping a region, managing a portfolio of existing accounts, targeting new accounts and identifying up sell opportunities through an articulated approach to meet targets.
Proactively canvassing leads, demonstrating the software via online or through client visits.
Identifying and building relationships with key decision makers at the School, Trust and Local Authority.
Maintaining a forecast pipeline, ensuring that all customer and opportunity details are captured and kept up to date.
Negotiation of high value and long term contracts across all products.
Liaising with internal departments effectively to ensure the successful delivery of solutions to the customer.

Skills and Experience:-

A minimum of 2 years experience in software sales is required with a track record in selling a solution to a business problem. Experience in selling to the education sector would also be considered, ideally primary schools.
The ideal candidate will be competitive, hungry for success and not be phased by new challenges.
A proven history of developing success through a consultative approach.
You will be required to attend exhibitions, host seminars and attend meeting to support other account managers which will involve over night stay.
Working at the highest level of customer service and providing technical expertise to customers at all times.
Excellent communication and IT skills
Full driving license is required
