Our client based in Croydon, are currently recruiting for a new member for their busy team.

Salary: £18000 - £20000
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced paralegal who is seeking to build a long-term future. The role is includes assisting the lawyers with a range of family law matters. The ideal candidate will have experience working in public law family and private children matters and domestic abuse.
Objectives of the Job
To support the solicitor/fee earners in fee earning and meeting their financial and professional requirements. To include helping progress the case in accordance with the solicitor/fee earner's requirements. To attend the Family Justice Centre, to attend Public Law Outline Meetings, to progress injunctive relief matters to their conclusion to include carrying out advocacy duties in respect of non-defended hearings. Although the paralegal will be based at one of the Atkins Hope offices, they will be required on occasion to provide support to other offices.
Daily responsibilities will include:
" Taking new client instructions
" Attending the Family Justice Centre to provide advice and assistance. See clients and process applications for injunctive relief including:
o Taking client's instructions;
o Applying for public funding;
o Preparing applications and statements in support;
o Carrying out advocacy for the first ex-part application hearing.
" Attending Public Law Outline Meetings
" Attending Court with Counsel
" Diarising hearings and key dates and managing solicitor/fee earner's diary
" Taking instructions from clients in care cases
" Ensuring risk assessments/conflict checks are completed
" Preparing statements on instructions taken
" Reporting to clients
" Booking experts
" Arranging experts/professionals meetings
" Preparing letters of instructions to expert
" Drafting applications to Court including C2 and part 25 applications
" Preparing briefs to Counsel
" Preparing Court bundles
" Time records
" Applying for public funding
" Preparing and submitting claims for costs online
" Preparing high cost case plans.
" Legal experience as a Family Paralegal
" Excellent communication Skills,
" Good IT skills,
" Excellent time management skills,
" Cope effectively in demanding circumstances,
" Flexible approach to work,
" Accuracy and attention to detail.
" Clear understanding and application of Children and Family Law
