About Sheffield Hospitals Charity

Sheffield Hospitals Charity helps patients being treated for almost every condition at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The Charity's core mission is to enhance the care and treatment of patients using the hospitals by raising funds and making grants to support areas beyond the scope of NHS funding. With the generous support and hard work of supporters, the charity invests more than GBP2 million each year to improve healthcare today and for future generations. This investment is predominantly focussed on

-Enhancing patient care and family support
-Transforming the hospital environment to provide a more welcoming and attractive space
-Providing state-of-the-art specialist medical equipment
-Supporting pioneering research
-Supporting doctors and nurses to take part in training to improve their existing knowledge,

The charity has a long and proud history and is now approaching an exciting time as they embark on a refreshed 5 year organisational strategy. The plan sets out to achieve ambitious income growth from GBP3 million a year to in excess of GBP5.5 million a year, allowing them to double their investment in healthcare services in Sheffield.

About the role

As a senior member of the fundraising team, you will take a strategic approach to leading the development and management of Corporate and Major Donor programmes.

Working to an annual income target, you will be responsible for devising and implementing a successful fundraising programme securing donations from high level supporters, corporate donations, strategic partnerships, charity of the year support and event sponsorship. With a blend of new business and management of existing donors, the role demands strong relationship management skills and the ability to effectively establish develop and deliver a long term engagement strategy to ensure sustainability.

Who should apply

We are looking to hear from Corporate and Major Donor fundraisers who are looking to take that next exciting, challenge in their career. You will come with a proven track record in exceeding fundraising targets in these key areas. You will have a passion for supporter stewardship and relationship management.

Experience of researching corporate and high net worth individuals and identifying opportunities with an understanding of sector trends is a must. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills sufficient to compile powerful cases for support and fundraising pitches in a clear, inspiring and confident way. Driven, passionate and hardworking, you must have a proven ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
