An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Multi Skilled Operative based in Sheffield.

Within the role you will be responsible for completing repairs to the housing stock as required by our client whilst working effectively within a consistent operation repairs service.

Liaising with the Mears Multi Trade Team you will enable a response to emergencies and other works within a given time period, whilst ensuring the work has been carried out both effectively and efficiently. You will complete the works to a high-quality standard in order to maximise first time fix criteria, appointment objectives alongside improving resident satisfaction.

You will be able to submit presentable and accurate paperwork which includes PDA data base information coupled with using SOR and descriptive works, in order to cost works which are being completed. Within the role you will work within a busy repairs/ voids team environment, reporting individual actions from site guaranteeing maximum service delivery and high levels of resident satisfaction at all times.

In order to be successful in this role, you will be multi skilled in plumbing, electrical circuits, general handyman duties including routine maintenance, re-active calls across a wide variety of sites. You will also ideally possess a relevant trade qualification. Experience within social housing is also essential and you should be familiar with using a PDA.

With strong time management skills, the Multi Skilled Operative will have experience of preparing all paperwork including timesheets, accurate descriptions of work carried out, estimating repair requirements, trades alongside job coding and costing. Moreover, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with the ability to succeed. Successful Operatives will also be added to the branch out of hours rota.

Candidates for this role must hold a full valid UK driving licence and should be willing to work away during the week
