Customer Support Representative – Technical Support 
Coventry, Warwickshire 
£18,000 - £20,000 DOE 

The Company 

Our client is the UK's leading manufacturer of intelligent cash handling equipment. With customers in the retail, banking and leisure industries, their products enhance security, reduce shrinkage and deliver process efficiencies. Due to the recent securing of a large contract with a major retailer, an opportunity has arisen within the Customer Support Department for a Customer Support Representative to join the team. 

Job Description 

Position Title Customer Support Representative 
Reports to Customer Support Manager 

Salary band £18k -£20 dependent on relevant experience and skill sets plus pension and 25 days’ holiday per annum. 

Working week is five days which includes Saturday and Sunday (i.e Friday to Tuesday). The weekend working will be from home using a company laptop and IP phone with the other days based in the office at Coventry. Good home broadband is therefore a necessity. 

The successful candidate will be DBS checked. 

This is a permanent position with a 6 month probationary period. 

Responsible for providing excellent customer support to all customers pre and post sales. This will be a varied and challenging role and is ideal for someone who is responsible, versatile, flexible, customer focused and looking to make their mark within a dynamic, growing environment. 

Responsibilities and Deliverables 

- Dealing with support enquiries on the company’s products over the telephone using a web-based help desk system 
- Providing all levels of support from first line through to more complex issues 
- Liaising with customers in pre and post sales support 
- Identify common issues and produce reports, FAQs and bespoke instructions 
- Participate in projects such as trial management and delivering product upgrades 

Requirements 

Essential 

- Customer service experience 
- Technical support experience 
- Excellent telephone manner 
- Good communication skills 
- Customer focused 
- Higher level skills on excel and/or access for data analysis 
- A “can do” attitude and a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks 
- Attention to detail 

Advantageous 

- Working knowledge of the retail environment
