KS1/2 Pupil Referral Unit

We are looking to recruit a number of SEN Learning Support Assistants to work on both daily and long term assignments in September. The work will be in pupil referral units which cater for students who can't access mainstream education.
The learners who attend these schools have all been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education and show challenging behaviours. Team Teach training is desirable but not essential as this is something which Reed Education can offer.
To work in these sorts of environments you must be resilient, outgoing and be able to instantly build rapport with young people who are dis-engaged.
These schools are based in and around the Leeds area.
Your job:
- Working 1:1, small groups and leading the whole class
- Opportunity to run small group intervention classes with a range of pupils
- Would be required to cover a range of subjects
- Working closely with the class teacher to develop schemes of work and a working environment that everyone can prosper in
