Project Quantity Surveyor - Sheffield / Nottingham
Working on Projects up to 50 million between Sheffield / Nottingham region.

Location: Nottingham / Sheffield region
Salary: £50,000 basic + Car or Car allowance + Bonus

Role Description:
Due to a number of project wins my client is looking to increase their commercial team in the Nottingham / Sheffield region. With live projects in Nottingham, Chesterfield, Sheffield and Derby my client has the ability to move people around to deliver the packages of work currently on site.

The projects are all based around a mix of the JCT & NEC form of contract and would suit candidates from the Construction or Civil Engineering sector. The projects range from 12 million to 50 million in value and a strong order book over means for the next 4 years you will have projects close to you. That's without any other project awards as the business approaches the 1 billion turn over mark.

You need to have experience of looking after projects between ideally 1million - 10 million in value. This is a great opportunity for a Sub contractor looking to step up to a main contractor and larger projects. You will be supported by a Senior Quantity Surveyor on site to ensure your development and career progression.

The day to day activities are all based on site due to the size of the projects. Depending on your experience the role will change but typically your role will include:-

• Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials
• On-going cost analysis of the project
• Analysing completed work and arranging payment to contractors
• Allocating upcoming work to contractors
• Site visits, assessments and projections for future work

Required Experience:

• NEC Project background can be very open including Water, Rail, Highways, Power, Environmental, Airports
• JCT project backgrounds can be any New build scheme be it Industrial, Commercial or Residential
• Forms of contract are based around either NEC or JCT so similar contract experience will be required.
• A Qualification is also required be it HNC / HND or full Degree ideally in Quantity Surveying or other related subject.
