Operations Support Administrator
Contract: Permanent
Salary: GBP19,000 - GBP23,800
Location: Cambridge and Whittlesford
What it's about
We have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and flexible individual with excellent communication and administrative skills to join our friendly Operations Support Team. You will be responsible for contributing to the overall success of each examination cycle, supporting five Operations teams in critical tasks during busy periods. You will be learning and delivering end to end processes in each team, and helping to identify and monitor process improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing
You will move between the below teams on a rotating basis, spending between a week and four months with them at one time:
- Exam Processing - tasks include helping with the administration of coursework; carrying out quality checks; liaising with schools about the return of marks; and data input.
- ASP + Marking - tasks include working on the examiner helpdesk; managing communication about scripts; liaising with schools about the return of their scripts; organising examiner panels and meetings; and carrying out quality checks.
- Compliance - tasks include arranging inspections; investigating suspected malpractice; and supporting the access arrangement and special consideration processes.
- Results & Despatches - tasks include processing result enquiries; processing certificate requests; and supporting confidential and non-confidential despatch processes.
- Test Production - tasks include proof reading question papers; arranging the production of modified papers; typesetting; and inputting product reference data.
In each task you are assigned to you will communicate regularly with both our internal and external customers. You will manage your time to ensure daily tasks are completed by agreed deadlines. You will follow procedures to ensure accuracy of your work and work with colleagues to improve quality controls. You will identify and act upon opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
The majority of tasks are based in our new head office in Cambridge, but some are based at our distribution warehouse in Whittlesford. We provide transport between Cambridge to Whittlesford.
What we're looking for from you
You will have:
- A customer focused approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to learn new skills and processes easily and quickly
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, and experience in administration
- 5 GCSE at grade A-C, or equivalent, including Mathematics and English
You will be:
- Flexible and willing to embrace regular changes in working practice and hours
- A proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A team player; personable; proactive; trustworthy; diplomatic; and pragmatic
