Job Description Job Title: Director, UK Distribution LSG EMEA Reports To: M Riemens, Sr Director Distribution LSG Europe Division: LSG / Distribution Career Band: 9 Position Location: Inchinnan, UK Position Summary: This role provides distribution and logistics leadership in a variety of cross-functional and cross-divisional areas within the UK. This position will leverage the sub-function leads and the best practices of the global distribution organization to ensure an efficient, effective and scalable distribution and logistics model across the UK. The position will also play an integral role in current and future business integrations / acquisitions and be a key component in strategic growth for the UK and the region. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the LSG distribution operations functions across the UK. • Evolve the divisional vision and strategy for fulfillment across Europe, establishing the footprint, organization, structure and team to deliver this strategy, ensuring that best practices are implemented and that the team has market leading skills; this includes alignment to the commercial and product strategies. • Establish a LSG-based, supply chain center of excellence (COE) founded on leading philosophies, skills, technology and results. • Drive common processes, disciplines, systems and metrics across the distribution function. • Lead and facilitate collaboration between self-manufacturing divisions and supply chain functions to maximize customer service while balancing inventory investment and operating expense. • Manage distribution budget and activities for all inbound, warehousing and outbound flows. Oversight for 3rd party distribution center relations. • Manage physical distribution network optimization and performance. • Implement effective use of ERP and advanced planning systems to enable best practice operating efficiencies. • Utilize and refine a robust array of key performance indicators (KPI) to monitor and drive performance and continuous improvement; analytics underpinned by supply chain analyst(s) and transactional databases. • Assess, develop and refine the overall planning, procurement, distribution and logistics skill set in the function. • Advance the culture of continuous improvement utilizing PPI Business Systems Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: • Minimum of 10 years of supply chain management experience in roles with increasing responsibility; direct experience in a large multi-national corporation required (US-based multi-national preferred). Core experience must include Distribution Operations. • Demonstrated role model leadership behaviors, and an ability to lead an organization (and influence others) while actively displaying the Company's 4-I's -- Integrity, Innovation, Intensity and Involvement • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and best practices across the supply chain organization • An ability to quickly establish credibility across the organization and to engage and influence others to ensure the most effective and efficient solutions • Demonstrated ability developing and executing a supply chain strategy across a variety of facilities and multiple countries within Europe • Solid analytical skills • Strong goal/action orientation • In-depth knowledge of key supply chain /logistics processes and current best practices across planning / procurement, distribution operations and transportation • Effective communication (oral and written) and presentation skills • Travel approximately 40-60% around the UK and the region Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain / Logistics or related field is required; MBA or Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is strongly preferred Other: CPSM (Certified Supply Chain Management), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or other comparable supply chain certification preferred.
