The company is a recognised technology leader in the worldwide performance clothing and footwear market. Our products are found in a range of applications including special forces and military clothing, performance sportswear, high end audio equipment and children shoes.

 

 

As Engineering Supervisor you will have site wide responsibility for the safe provision of all utilities, to ensure your team follow HS&E policies at all times and to ensure maintenance activities are conducted in a timely manner following guidelines and procedures.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Respond to production breakdowns and assign appropriate resources
  • Carry out planned maintenance as deemed required.
  • Recommend appropriate 3rd party skilled labour to address specific issues
  • Manage the day to day activity of the engineering team
  • Be heavily involved in the shutdown planning and interact with the area managers on the requirements of the production team
  • Work with area management to prioritise work based on production planning activities
  • Attend team meetings
  • Manage team admin, such as attendance reports, performance reviews, return to work interviews

 

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following attributes:
 

 

  • Be able to prioritise workload and be accountable for decisions made
  • Experience of leading an engineering team
  • Be customer focussed
  • Good knowledge of general engineering skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Good diagnostics skills
  • Computer literate

 

 

Qualifications needed are:

  • Electrical /engineering qualifications or experience
  • GCSE’s (or equivalent) Maths and English minimum grade C
  • Experience of work permit systems
