Study Coach

Activate Learning are a forward thinking, successful education group whose mission is to provide opportunities for learning with a focus on students gaining the skills they need to progress on to employment or higher education, transforming lives through our learning philosophy.

Our focus is on learning and enabling all who work with us to gain the skills, knowledge and attributes to gain employment and be promotable and successfully employed for as long as they wish. We concentrate on what motivates learning and creating the emotional environment for all of us at Activate Learning to gain confidence and resilience to learn how to develop ourselves. To achieve this, we work closely with businesses to understand their needs and involve them in our developments.

The main purpose of the role of Study Coach is to work with our dedicated learning support team, providing support to students who have additional educational needs and difficulties. Some of these will include, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Global learning delay, hearing impaired and visual impairment, to name a few.

You will be based within a Faculty area, working with identified students with learning needs. You will be working alongside the tutor and will liaise with them on a lesson by lesson basis. The role also includes some admin work, tracking, attending weekly meetings with learning support and undergoing regular CPD.

The hours for these roles are 8.30am - 5pm, finishing at 4.30 pm on a Friday, working in term time only.
