Two enthusiastic graduates are sought for roles as Higher Education Project Officers by the University, on our Exeter campus. You will provide support for projects in the Exeter Education Incubator. Part of the Graduate Business Partnership scheme this role is for ten months.

Purpose of Role
This post is located in the University of Exeter Education Incubator. The Education Incubator has been established to support academic-led innovation in university education, including innovation which engages with the digital revolution. The post-holder will support academics (called Incubator Fellows) who are working on projects to reimagine how university education can be delivered. This support will entail assisting with event organising and management, progress reporting, and producing promotional material (blogs and social media content). The post holder will also support the production of online teaching material by the Incubator Fellows.
Duties and Responsibilities
This job description summarises the main duties and accountabilities of the post and is not comprehensive: the post-holder may be required to undertake other duties of similar level and responsibility.
- Liaise with the respective academic managers (Incubator Fellows) of the projects;
- Organise and provide support for project meetings including production of papers and taking minutes;
- Monitor project against plans and prepare regular and ad-hoc reports as required;
- Undertake research and evaluation, including collection and collation of baseline data and documentation reviews;
- Manage student volunteers to help with the development and management of outputs;
- Assist with events management;
- Collect information, edit and draft documentation to support the projects e.g. updates for newsletters, blog posts, training materials, project logs, test scripts.
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of subjects relating to the projects, including an understanding of the business benefits and technical issues;
- Supporting users in their development and use of project outputs e.g. one to one or small classroom training sessions, production of online training materials, crib sheets etc.
- Provide general support to the project managers and undertake other administration tasks as required.
- Support academic staff (Incubator Fellows) in the design of blended and e-learning materials and their implementation in an online platform, including
- Collating materials from staff;
- The design, import and integration of materials into the online platform;
- Assisting in coordinating the management of filming MOOC content via external companies;
- Liaison with colleagues to manage and coordinate the recording of copyright permissions for content used within online courses;
- To work closely with colleagues, including to ensure the resolution of complex problems.
Training and Development opportunities
Training and development will include mentoring, and the opportunity to receive feedback on, a range of tasks and responsibilities within the framework of a negotiated portfolio of work objectives. If needed, specialist training in website editing and other software use will be arranged.

- Graduated with a degree from a UK university since 2015

- Proven inter-personal skills and ability to work with senior managers and students alike.
- Flexibility, adaptability and tenacity in ensuring work gets done
