Hull College Group is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.
We are looking to appoint a Lens based and Digital Media Instructor Demonstrator within the Creative Arts department where you will hold workshop development sessions for practical activities. This is a permanent part time position, working 18.5 hours per week, 40 weeks of the year based at our Hull campus.
If you have experience of working in a photography studio, and are up to date with digital equipment and processes, this could be the new challenge you are looking for!
Within the role you will provide support for student learning activities in workshops and one to one situations, giving teaching support on projects and assignments set by academic staff. Delivering high quality resource management including specialist equipment, you will secure work placements and monitor and support students on work experience, including the maintenance of records.
As the successful candidate you will have an NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject. With Maths and English to Level 2, you will hold or be willing to work towards a relevant Level 3 teaching qualification e.g. PTLLS
With recent and relevant experience of Lens and Digital Media, you will have a knowledge and understanding of various qualifications within this area, coupled with experience of demonstrating techniques for specialist areas. With a positive can do attitude and the ability to motivate students, you will be able to work across the age and ability range in a classroom, workshop and one to one situations.
