A leading precision engineering company is currently recruiting a Quality Engineer, you will have proven experience working in route cause analysis, NPI and excellent customer relationship skills.
Commutable from: Taunton, Exeter, Newton Abbott, Yeovil, Barnstable, Torquay, Tiverton, Plymouth, Okehampton, Minehead.
Salary: GBP 30,000 - GBP 40,000 p.a. + pension
Suitable for: Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, QE, SQE, Quality Technician.
The Role
Working with the Quality Manager you will ensure that products meet with customer's requirements, this will involve reacting to quality issues, route cause analysis and the use of continuous improvement techniques. You will also be responsible for ensuring new products manufactured meet with customer's requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Investigate on going quality issues
Support quality improvement activities within manufacturing
Identify internal PPAP/APQP activities ensuring compliance
Provide leadership in the creation of PFMEA's and Control Plans
Understating of NDT
Auditing experience ISO9001
Carry out reviews and report on non-conformance data
Investigate customer complaints as required
Help drive continuous improvement and quality through the business
The Person
You will have experience working as a Quality professional within a precision engineering environment. You must have good understanding of PPAP and APQP processes, excellent communication skills and good report writing skills to both internal and external customers.
