Job Description

We are currently recruiting a HR Services Lead on a permanent contract to join our team in Chiswick Park, West London.

The successful candidate will manage and supervise daily activities of the HR administration team to ensure successful delivery and a consistent high quality output; maintain data quality in all activities; provide and ensure high quality first line HR query and request resolution, in a customer focused and professional way. They will also accurately process all transactional activity, documentation and information relating to employee lifecycle and HR transactions in line with policy. They will have direct management responsibility for the HR Administrator and HR Intern.

This is a good role for someone looking to step up into a management role within a small HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line manage the HR administration team, ensuring regular catch up meetings are conducted to support the team and identify their development needs;
  • Provide day to day operational HR support and advice to the business;
  • Manage the HR inbox to ensure queries are dealt with in a timely manner. Checking the quality of the work and identifying areas of focus. Taking the areas of focus and developing training materials and delivering them to the business to upskill;
  • Deliver and manage administration for all HR processes;
  • Fully comply and manage the Right to Work in the UK as a level one user adhering to legislation using the Points Based system, ensuring that the company only issues Certificates of Sponsorship to foreign nationals who have the right to work in the UK;
  • Work with line managers and the business to ensure that the recruitment needs of the business are being met;
  • Ensure that employees are on-boarded and inducted effectively into the business;
  • Ensure that e-learning is managed effectively for the parts of the business supported;
  • Ensure that employees are provided with appropriate training for their roles;
  • Act as the local CSR champion for the businesses/departments supported;
  • Support managers in any disciplinary, grievance or performance management issues;
  • Support line managers in the management of sickness absence and provide return to work support for employees;
  • Ensure that all Corporate and Regional HR Policies are communicated effectively - this includes the PMP and remuneration processes;
  • Support employees who are taking parental leave and ensure that they remain engaged with the business;
  • Undertake exit interviews for key resignations;
  • Continuously review and contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures identifying areas of improvement;
  • Ensure that job descriptions and organisation charts are regularly reviewed and updated;
  • Ensure compliance for all People Services activities and manage all trackers. Examples include:
    • HR Reporting;
    • Work visa application, reporting and co-ordination;
    • Vetting
    • HR Share Point Maintenance;
    • HR Event Co-ordination;
    • HR Policy Updates
  • Any other duties reasonably requested by the Company.
Qualifications
  • CIPD qualification is desirable
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to be able to understand the operational aspects of the business and provide appropriate HR support and guidance.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities often with conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proactive approach to HR as a value-add function.
  • Broad generalist HR experience including experience of disciplinary and grievance procedures with some UK employment law knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Customer focused and results oriented.
  • Experience using and administering HR databases.
  • Proven ability to liaise with internal and external customers professionally and courteously, including senior executives.
  • Proven experience of prompt resolution of all types of queries.
  • Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
