Role: HR Partner
Hours of work: 37 Hours Per Week
About the role:
My client are looking for a HR partner to provide cross campus HR, administration, client facing support and advice on all current HRD operational matters to all levels of personnel, with varied issues and situations, in a professional, confident and credible manner.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assist in all HR activities and take the lead when requested, to ensure that all policies, employment law, legislation and best practice are adhered to and up dated, in order to promote the department positively and protect the College's reputation.
Monitor, evaluate and provide feedback to the HR team, on knowledge of HR practices, systems and procedures, to benefit continuous improvement and efficiency for the department and College.
Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, placing adverts online, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates, and undertake investigations and hearings.
Responsible for support areas; Estates, reprographics, catering and FOH/Customer services
Maintenance of HR Database and staff files.
Preparation of presentation and placement material (to include typing handouts, statistics and reports, power point presentations, researching, recording, setting up displays)
Dealing with incoming calls and enquiries; making phone calls as required
Train client groups on HR related initiatives, policy or procedure.
About the candidate:
CIPD (experience may override) and IT qualifications/ database/ HRD systems experience
Confident and effective use of Microsoft Office software
Competent use of database/HRD systems to record, analyse data and provide accurate reports
Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation in relation to the HR function
An awareness of Equality and Diversity in the administration and delivering of training and development
Ability to plan, prioritise tasks and take responsibility to achieve goals
Enthusiasm for ensuring delivery of training is appropriate for the target group and allows achievement to full potential
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
