Location: Exeter based with some regional travel required
Hours: 11.25 hours per week (required Monday 3.75 hours then opportunity for flexible hours)
Salary: GBP17,714 - GBP22,212 pro rata
Additional Notes: Some evening and weekend work required.
We are currently offering a great opportunity for an individual keen to work in a highly rewarding fundraising environment. The ideal candidate would be an experienced and enthusiastic charitable fundraiser with excellent communication, organisational and self-management skills. This is an exceptional opportunity to get involved with a friendly and client focused organisation dedicated to making a real difference to survivors of brain injury, their families and carers.
The post will be based at our office in Exeter, but some travel around the region will be required and there will be occasional out-of-hours events and meetings. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to the role.
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
- To manage fundraising, marketing and media
- To increase funds raised and decrease the charity's reliance on statutory funding by exploring new areas of fundraising potential whilst consolidating and extending existing ones
- To increase awareness of acquired brain injury
Who am I working for?
Headway Devon is an independent, local charity, operating across the county of Devon to support people whose lives have been turned upside down by acquired brain injury.
We have been working with local people for over 20 years through centre-based and one-to-one services, and have a proven track-record in supporting people to get the most out of their lives after brain injury.
The people we work with are from all walks of life, but all have survived life-changing illnesses and accidents that have left them facing complex disabilities including physical, cognitive, emotional and psychological difficulties.
All of our services focus on enabling people to relearn the skills that have been impaired as a result of their brain injury, as well as encouraging them to try new things and develop new skills. We also provide training, information and respite for families and carers.
Headway Devon is an Investor in People.
