We have an opening ...
We are looking for a dynamic shop assistant to join our friendly team at our shop in Brighton on Sundays. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills in retail, and join the world's largest humanitarian network.

In this hands-on role, you will work with a team of dedicated staff and inspiring volunteers to maximise sales and increase profitability. In return you will receive a competitive salary, and the knowledge that you are helping to make a difference to vulnerable people in crisis.

Say hello to the team...
Helping people in crisis begins at your local charity shop.

Full of gifts, clothes and even the odd vintage gem, our 330 shops across the UK are home to over 6,500 volunteers and 700 paid staff. Our team is bright and bubbly, and we love meeting people from all walks of life.

You will work closely with the shop manager, shop staff and volunteers, and other Red Cross personnel, cascading information as required and working collaboratively to ensure targets and objectives are successfully met.

Together, you will help present an excellent image of the British Red Cross, maintaining a customer focussed shop. Working on the shop floor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, and will be responsible for sorting stock and preparing items for display, operating the till, and cash handling.

This role is for you if...
You're a retail star - you have previous experience of working in a retail environment and confident with cash handling duties.

You're a strong communicator - you thrive on delivering excellent customer service and enjoy meeting lots of different people.

You're a goal getter - you have an understanding of the importance of hitting targets

Closing date for applications is 23:59 on Wednesday 29th August 2018

We offer a wide range of staff benefits, these include:

  • 28 days holiday per annum plus bank/ public holidays- pro rata for part time staff.
  • Up to 6% contributory pension
  • Childcare vouchers
