Becoming a Team Leader with Capita Travel and Events

About the role:

As a Team Lead, you will lead, encourage and develop a team of Preferred Programme Coordinators based in our Taunton office. You will manage and deliver hotel, apartment and MEG customer programmes, while working with key stakeholders to ensure our RFP performance remains proactive and exceeds current market expectations whilst delivering customer savings and income opportunities are maximised.

What you will do:

  • Lead, develop and motivate the team, providing day to day support, delegation and prioritisation of workloads ensuring all programmes are delivered in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage, negotiate and deliver annual hotel, apartment and MEG programmes within agreed timelines
  • To ensure all negotiated rates are competitive, taking in to account market conditions and ensuring robust benchmarking of relevant terms such as commission, LRA, meal plans, total cost of stay, VAT, PTPI, GSR
  • Be accountable for the support and resolution of hotel, apartment or MEG rate queries, ensuring Partner and Account Management are aware as appropriate
  • Communicate and present customer programme successes and savings opportunities to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with the testing and implementation of software and products relating to the Programme & Distribution team
