Residential Support Worker - PMLD Special School
Prospero Teaching are recruiting several residential support workers to work at in the allocated residential homes attached to a special school in Stockport. The school caters for children and young adults with severe Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. The children and young adults are aged 3-25 and all require 1-1 support.
These positions are temporary to permanent and there are various shifts patterns available.
The successful candidate must:
- Be enthusiastic, driven and conscientious
- Have previous experience working with children or young people with learning difficulties.
- Have experience of personal care as you would be expected to assist with feeding, washing and toileting for pupils of all ages, 3-25 years.
- Excellent communication skills
- Hold a current DBS or be willing to apply for a new one through Prospero Teaching
You will be supporting service users between the ages of 3- 25 years, and will be responsible for encouraging the positive emotional, social and academic development of children. Essential skills include excellent communication / relationship building as well experience of supporting learning.
