Multi-Skilled Engineer – Day Shifts (Electrical, Maintenance)

6 month fixed term contract

They are looking for an Engineer to join their team on a fixed term 6 month contract. The role involves working day shifts only – 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm.

Within the role you will provide effective engineering support in terms of planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and remedial works to site equipment and buildings. Undertaking planned maintenance tasks to the relevant engineering and safety standards, you will carry out repairs to equipment in a safe and timely manner.

The successful candidate will possess a recognised qualification relevant to the role (e.g. Mechanical or Electrical City & Guilds / NVQ to Level 3) coupled with experience in both Electrical and Mechanical trades, although an electrical bias is preferred for this role.

A multi-skilled engineer with experience in a production environment and with PLC’s, you will be strong in diagnostics and will ideally have knowledge of other engineering disciplines, including pneumatics, hydraulics and steam systems.

A self-motivated individual, you will have an analytical approach, a high attention to detail and will be able to read drawings and make decisions. With excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team you will be a methodical person who can react quickly to the needs of the business.
