Ayrshire Colleges’ Catering Service Department are seeking hard working individuals that are passionate about food. You will be operating within a dynamic team in a professional and creative kitchen.

We require successful candidates to support the delivery of the College’s Catering Service by providing high quality and professional catering facilities to the students, staff and visitors to the College, through ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen and cafeteria areas of the College.

This will involve supporting the Catering Team Leader in the preparation, cooking and service delivery of food, ensuring the efficient and effective use of all resources in order to deliver a high quality Catering Service to the College.

You will be customer focused with the ability to provide a professional service whilst being flexible in your approach to respond to customer requirements.

The successful applicant will be educated to SVQ 2 level in a Catering or equivalent cooking qualification or relevant cooking experience. An Elementary Food Hygiene Handler Certificate or equivalent is essential for the role, together with good interpersonal and customer care skills and the ability to work as part of a team
