Our client is a long established specialist oil and gas equipment rental supplier, providing rental solutions to the well test, LNG, pipeline services, drilling, cuttings transportation and maintenance & decommissioning markets globally.


They are the oil and gas equipment rental division, offering specialist rental of air compressors, steam generators, steam heat exchangers, sand filters, coflexip hoses and air treatment ancillaries.

Our client a long established group which has evolved over a 60 year trading history.
Their businesses offer the rental and sale of specialist products and associated services to a diverse range of end markets, including construction, civil engineering, rail, water, oil and gas, outdoor events and housebuilding.

They currently have an opportunity for a workshop based diesel mechanic to join the division in Aberdeen to maintain, service, repair and refurbish company assets as directed, ensuring the standards set by the company are met on all occasions. This role would suit an agricultural, heavy plant or HGV mechanic but consideration would be given to a semi-skilled mechanic dependent on skills.
Description:

  • Carry out the maintenance, service, repair and refurbishment of company assets
  • Work as part of a team ensuring equipment is ready on time meeting the highest quality and mechanical standards
  • Complete equipment certification as instructed to allow for third party inspection
  • Ensure correct and safe working practises are observed and followed at all times in accordance with the company QHSE procedures
  • Counter balance forklift training will be completed on successful completion of probationary period
  • 20t overhead crane training will be completed on completion of probationary period
  • Job cards to be completed detailing all elements of tasks undertaken and spares used

The successful candidate will:

  • Be flexible in their working hours
  • Have working knowledge diesel driven equipment
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Have completed formal training in a mechanical discipline
  • Good troubleshooting skills with mechanical systems
  • Time served mechanic – Preferred
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to work on own initiative or within a team with minimal supervision
