Our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of glass and glazing systems in three business areas: Architectural; Automotive; and Technical Glass.
A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Decision Support Analyst within the Central Finance team based at the European Technical Centre, Lathom.
Supporting the Global Decision Support Analysts and Finance Manager to generate data required for a broad range of decision making and strategic planning activities, you will coordinate the provision of profitability data across SBUs (Strategic Business Units - SBUs) and of costing and other data for decision support activities; providing costing support to SAP and non-SAP sites to drive process improvements. You must also standardise costing and cost of production data with in the SBUs and assist with other projects as required.
Ideally educated to A-level or equivalent (A-C including Mathematics) and/or part-qualified or working towards AAT standard or equivalent, the successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and be process orientated. Candidates will also have the ability to inspire and generate innovative ideas and solutions to enhance business results.
Working in a team of 3 reporting to the Decision Support Manager and with contact with a broader team, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication and be a natural self-starter.
A good working knowledge of Excel is required. Some exposure to SAP would be advantageous but is not essential as training would be provided.
