About Us

At the Together Trust we believe everybody deserves an equal chance in life. There are no exceptions. We provide a wide range of support services including fostering, residential, community and family support. We also provide specialist educational support through our schools and colleges.

Buckley Lodge is an assisted living home in Romiley, Stockport that provides support to young adults with physical or learning disabilities, autism and complex health needs. Buckley Lodge is a really happy place to be and enables our young adults to live in their own homes, rather than in residential care homes.

As our Community Support Worker…

You will provide practical and emotional support to the young adults in our care, giving them the confidence they need to be as independent as possible. You will offer assistance and guidance in all aspects of daily living, encourage and accompany them in activities and interests and ensure they are safeguarded at all times in what can be a challenging environment.

About You

Experience is preferable but is not essential – what’s more important is the desire for a challenging and rewarding role and a genuine interest in developing your skills through the training that we offer.  As the team at Buckley Lodge offer 24/7 support, you will need to be flexible and willing to work shifts (to include earlies and lates) over a 7 day week.

In line with the principles of equal pay for work of equal value, the Together Trust use a job evaluation scheme to determine the grades advertised.  Within each grade, there are six points where staff can progress from point to point on an annual basis providing that they meet the criteria set in the Together Trust pay policy.

Please note that regardless of experience or qualifications, all new Together Trust staff will start on the first pay-point of the relevant pay grade.

Please note that role profiles are generic and are not meant to capture specific qualifications for specific roles. Therefore, please ensure you refer to the job description for specific details and requirements about the role you wish to apply for.

As part of Together Trust’s commitment to our staff and service users, any new recruits will be required to undertake pre-employment checks and a tailored mandatory induction programme before commencing their role. This process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.

Each induction programme will be specific to the role and service you are successful for. Together Trust’s induction programmes and start dates are fixed so you will be required to attend the next available induction, depending on when your pre-employment checks are complete. We advise all successful candidates to be mindful of this when handing in their notice.
