A vacancy has arisen within the Client Team for a Client Account Manager based in Scotland. The role will involve occasional overnight stays and the ideal candidate must live within the Edinburgh/Glasgow region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing business through our existing customer base and through new business development by gaining client specification in Scotland.

The key responsibilities will include:
• Maximise business through existing and potential client base relating to the Social Housing Sector, by developing a specific specification for mixed tenure new build developments, and planned refurbishments schemes.
• Building relationships with Development Directors, Development Managers, Procurement Managers, Asset managers, and Architects for new and existing key clients/customers.
• Producing monthly reports on all opportunities and sales.
• Producing accurate monthly volume forecasts.
• Chasing and securing new and existing business with clients relating to new build and planned refurbishment schemes.
• Maintaining customer contact details to ensure the customer record card is kept up to date and details of all key personnel are shown.
• Ensuring payment is being received in accordance with the company terms.

In order to be successful in this role you must have, or confidence that you can be taught:
• Knowledge of the industry, company's terms of trading, range of manufactured and bought out products and all major competitors.
• A good portfolio of contacts with Housing Associations which can be used to provide new business to Symphony.
• Have an understanding of kitchen design.
• A full understanding of the Social Housing Market, including route to market and funding.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• The ability to "think outside the box" to find solutions.
• A full UK driving licence as you will be required to travel within the region and to other parts of the UK as required.

You will be:
• Able to manage your own diary and time efficiently and effectively.
• Able to manage GroupWise diary and keep this up to date and planned at least a week in advance.
• Able to return your daily calls and mileage in a timely manner.
• Able to comply with working hour's directive as appropriate.
• Able to communicate confidently with people at all levels from site operative to Director.
• Willing to work as part of a dynamic team.
• Able to work under pressure to maintain deadlines.
• Computer literate with good PowerPoint and excel skills.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Professionally presentable at all times.
