SCL is going through an exciting period of growth which has created an opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join this fast paced and creative Marketing Department.

MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within an exciting and developing business whilst gaining a Level 3 Qualification in Marketing.

We are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic and high performing team, to help support our digital communications strategy.

You should have a desire to succeed, have a positive attitude, willing to get your hands dirty and have excellent written English skills. You will have a passion for marketing and brand.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES AND DUTIES

* Use of social media (platforms to include but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn)

* Track success stories on social media for our industry

* Learn how to write posts to maximise reach & engagement

* Set up email campaigns and email surveys

* Update website using cms system

* Edit video footage to create videos for social media

* Crop imagery for advertising or social campaigns

* General marketing jobs and working with the team on projects

* Working with team members to create, plan and deliver social media campaigns

* Basic copywriting

* Gathering information for website/email/press release copy

* Ensuring tone of voice and brand values are in keeping with guidelines.

* Protect the brand image and associated brands, monitoring activity, competitor activity and online mentions.

* Maintaining the companies' editorial calendars and scheduling social media posts accordingly

* Assisting with video content and editing

* Assisting with photoshoots

* Chase up any press releases sent to journalists

* Feedback simple amends to designers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

* Up to date with all the latest social media platforms and trends

* Tech-savvy

* Self-motivated

* Creative

* Enthusiastic

* Attention to detail

DESIRABLE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of 5 GCSE's C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents).

Use of Photoshop or other design tools

Prior knowledge or experience with using social media for anything other than personal use would be advantageous (to promote an event, business etc)

Video editing

Use of google analytics

Previous marketing experience
