Rate of Pay: GBP10.00 per hour (Maximum of 32 hours per week)
Would suit a graduate or post graduate student - possibility job share available if needed
About Our Client
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a 23 year old female who has recently graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in History. Our client has Cerebral Palsy which affects her mobility and results in painful muscle spasms. Whilst she is academic and hard working, in her spare time she also enjoys playing competitive wheelchair rugby, watching films and baking. Over the coming year our client is hoping to participate in a series of work placements and volunteering opportunities, which will focus on improving the educational rights of those who have additional needs.

About the Job
This is a great opportunity to really help make a difference to our client. Your role will be to provide personal, professional and social support to enable our client to achieve her goals.
Our client is a young lady who requires the support of a conscientious, reliable individual to assist her during her post-university gap year. The role will involve:
•Work placement note taking and scribing
•Driving an adapted vehicle to scheduled meetings and appointments
•Pushing a manual wheelchair when necessary
•On hand to help access personal effects when out and about
•Some minor aspects of personal care
•Social support
•Support with rugby training
•Occasionally required to stay overnight at our clients house, but advanced notice is given
About You
You must be able to respect our client's privacy and have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.
•A graduate
•Able to work as note taker and scribe, as well as proof reading work.
•Organised, patient, reliable.
•Caring and have a good sense of humour
•Be professional
•Ready to occasionally lift and carry anything from light weight equipment to a rucksack
•You must hold a full clean UK driving licence to drive our client's adapted vehicle when required.
•You will be fully trained prior to starting, so previous experience of this type of work is not essential.
