This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team pivotal to the growth of a highly successful manufacturer of specialist hygiene and biosecurity chemicals.

The successful candidate will grow and develop sales within the Southern territory and - dependent upon experience - will help develop projects to further business development.
The requirement for this position is an in-depth knowledge of the poultry industry and biosecurity (microbiology, food safety, farm disease control and nutrition).

The role requires an understanding of the needs of customers and to work with them to protect their business through good hygiene practice and product application as well as improving flock health through nutritional supplementation and pest control.
Responsibilities:
  • To grow sales within the territory by managing and building strong relationships with key customers. To grow the customer base through gaining insight to potential new business opportunities.
  • To undertake regular service visits on customer hatcheries and farms, auditing their hygiene and biosecurity practices to identify their needs and requirements, leading to the development and maintenance of farm specific programs.
  • Preparation of regular customer reports and audit reports.
  • Development and delivery of technical support through sharing knowledge, training packs and product application techniques
  • To undertake and support new product trials.
  • To perform any other duties appropriate to the position and on occasion to support team members in other locations.

Required Skills & Knowledge
  • 2 years + experience within the poultry sector in a face to face role
  • 1 years Sales experience
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure successful delivery of training and recommendations for improvement.
  • Confident, committed and naturally aligned to working with people
  • Desire to educate and transfer knowledge so that our customers can improve their biosecurity standards.
  • Good presentation and listening skills.
  • IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
