This is a Temporary Full Time position

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Benefit Assessor to work in our Customer Services team delivering all aspects of our Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support Service. Contributing effectively as part of a small team, the post holder will be performance driven in processing Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims promptly and accurately and delivering an excellent service to customers.

The successful candidate will have at least six months recent experience of:

  • Dealing with members of the public in a similar role;
  • Organising and prioritising competing workloads to meet set targets.
  • Using benefit software to process claims for housing benefit and council tax support; and
  • Using an electronic document management system to assess claims for housing benefit and council tax support.
