Bookkeeper
REPORTING TO: Normally a Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Undertake book-keeping duties having a solid understanding of the firms operations, accounting and business advisory service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain books of accounts
* Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements
* Complete monthly reconciliation accounts
* Maintain knowledge of regulatory change
* Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all financial and book-keeping activities
* Maintain up to date complete and systematic filing system to support book-keeping and financial record
Requirements:
* Experience of book-keeping including more advanced/involved aspects of book-keeping.
* Must be organized and systematic
* Must be technically sound and confident with new technology.
* Must be able to actively manage own workloads and take responsibility for own development.
* Must possess IT skills to operate in-house programs and prepare and develop spreadsheets as necessary.
* Must be fully conversant with accounts preparation programs. (preferred)
* Just possess a good working knowledge of accounting standards and the accounting provisions of the Companies Act. (preferred)
