Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger)
Birmingham
£20,495 increasing to £21,573 after 12 months in role.
Permanent - 35 hours per week 


The Role

An opportunity has become available within our clients Finance Team for a Finance Assistant – Purchase Ledger. In this role, you will assist in the accurate and efficient processing of purchase ledger documentation and prompt payment to suppliers and contractors. You will assist the Senior Finance Officer to manage the supplier payment transactions including checking accuracy of invoices, posting of invoices onto financial software and assisting colleagues in the invoice authorisation process. The role also requires you to assist in regular supplier statement reconciliations and providing flexible support to all finance colleagues where necessary.

Skills/Experience Required
The successful candidate will be educated with 3 GCSE’s or equivalent qualification (including maths) grade C or above, along with experience of working within a finance department is desirable.  You will have experience of data entry with a high level of accuracy and have good IT skills particularly Microsoft Excel.

Up to date knowledge and understanding of financial regulations and changes to legislative requirements and also experience of financial and Microsoft software packages are desirable.
