Project Draughtsman
Location- South Derbyshire
Contract - Permanent
Shifts - Full Time
Salary - Up to GBP35,000 Dependent on experience

The Client
A Steel and Alloy manufacturing company who have been going for many years and have expanded their offer over the last few years. They provide the level of service you would expect from such a prestigious and established company. From the Design and Management of full Project Solutions they support clients from conception through to completion using bespoke products and materials that are of excellent quality.

The Role
Production of drawings - using AutoCAD and Solid works packages
Interpretation of customer requirements and able to produce drawings
The management of Client requirements
Produce accurately detailed drawings for fabrication and manufacturing purposes
Be confident to analyse solutions and consider cost effective solutions at all times
Project Management - to include design, fabrication and manufacturing stage ensuring accuracy
Adhering to process and drawing procedures for the design and manufacturing purpose
Producing documentation to include:- drawings, schedules, orders, material resources, drawings for the shop floor and document preparation
Assisting Engineers to prepare bids to include drawings, schemes and other documentation
Other duties to meet the needs of the company if required

The Candidate
A creative individual with an excellent knowledge of engineering design principles
Good maths ability
HNC level qualification or equivalent required
Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and construction methods
Good problem solving skills
Extremely Self motivated
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Experienced in AutoCAD and Solid Works
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Works well in a team player
Full clean driving license required
