This role for a Od And Learning And Development Partner has been released on a temporary basis for 6 months initially.
The Human Resources team provides a comprehensive service for Cambridge City Council; delivering HR policy, advice and guidance for managers and staff, providing employee recruitment, implementing organisational development initiatives, delivering the corporate learning development programme and the Cambridge City Council Apprenticeship Scheme.
OD and Learning & Development Partner is an interim post for the duration of 12 months. The range of duties includes but is not limited to:
* Oversee the day to day coordination and development of the Cambridge City Apprenticeship Programme
* Lead on the workforce planning consultation and drafting of the Workforce Plan
* Lead on arrangements for the preparation and promotion of reaccreditation of Investors in People.
* Support the planning and roll-out of the new management development programme.
* Respond to enquiries and provide guidance and advice to managers and staff on policies and procedures.
* Support the Organisational Development Manager and HR team in the delivery of a HR service to the Council.
You should match the following criteria:
* Providing customer focused services
* Experience of apprenticeships and the apprenticeship levy
* Extensive experience of Investors in People
* Extensive experience of Workforce Planning
* Organising and arranging learning and development programmes, including management development programmes
* Experience of working with training providers and colleges
* Employee coaching and 360 performance reviews
* Practical experience of working to, and meeting, deadlines whilst under pressure
* Use of office systems including Word, Excel, E-mail and searching for information on the internet
* Experience of implementing corporate strategy and working with senior managers
* Experience of evaluation of learning & development programmes
* Experience of dealing with apprentices in difficulty and supporting them with managers through capability processes
* Experience of local authority procurement procedures or procurement in the wider public sector
* Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or working towards CIPD accredited qualification
