Service Engineer - Diesels / CHP / Generators - Site based Chester Area
MONDAY TO FRIDAY with occasional weekends - nice role
GBP35-45,000 inc. basic & on-call + Van + Tools + PPE + Pension + Tax free benefits + Health + upto 38 days holiday
The site based service engineer role reports to the area operations manager. As the site based service engineer / maintenance engineer you will be responsible for service, maintenance and breakdowns of the sustainable energy, gas powered CAT and Perkins diesel engine driven Combined Heat & Power units [CHP] located on a clients' manufacturing site near Chester. Liasing with client on site, local H&S, risk, and contractor management form part of this role. Whilst this is a Monday to Friday role, you may occasionally work on shut downs at weekends or assist colleagues on other sites elsewhere in the North West.
We are looking for experienced diesel engine service engineers / maintenance engineers / commissioning engineers, with basic electrical knowledge and experience of working with 3 phase 440v plant / systems. You should be familiar with 6/8/12+ cylinder diesel engines with mechanical, electrical and controls fault finding experience. Experience of heavy mobile plant for construction / industry, agricultural, off-road, rail, Royal Navy / marine industry, or CHP / generator set, compressor, heavy pump experienced service engineers looking for a localised, Monday to Friday role allowing a good work / life balance with good earnings and career development opportunities.
