Priory School is a large, expanding Primary School with a complex needs Resource Unit, which offers support for children with physical, medical and sensory difficulties; social, mental and emotional health needs and ASD. We have Mainstream 1:1 LSA vacancies for people with a positive attitude and a can do approach. You will be required to support children's independent learning and progress and work as part of a team to support the class teacher. The people we are looking for will:
• Be enthusiastic, highly motivated and bring a sense of energy and passion to the role
• Have a good level of general education - It is essential you are able to demonstrate you have achieved a minimum of English and Maths at GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
• Have the ability to use their initiative to work independently and flexibly
• Have experience of working with children
• Enjoy working with children and be able to form good relationships with children and adults
Salary is GBP18,589 FTE, GBP14,428 actual 33.5 hours (8.30 am until 3.30 pm) per week, term time plus 5 INSET). In addition, our Learning Support Assistants provide 1 duty cover per week in our Extended Care facility, which operates 7.30am - 9.00am and 15:30 - 18:00.
