Sarah Farrow at CK Group is recruiting for a Production Planner on behalf of a busy pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Newcastle upon Tyne on a permanent basis.

The Company:
Our client is a well established pharmaceutical manufacturer, supplying to the healthcare companies across Europe. They have multiple sites across the UK, offering an impressive range of technical, manufacturing, packaging and storage/distribution services.

Location:
This role is located in Newcastle upon Tyne, and is easily accessible from the A1. The site is well serviced by public transport.

The Role:
The main purpose of this position is to develop production plans in line with the requirements of the commercial demand planning team, and to coordinate the activities of production, quality, warehouse, distribution and technical services to ensure that the production plans are met.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Continuously reviewing capacity and resource information to optimise the use of materials, equipment and manpower in line with customer specifications.
- Establishing demand trends and forecasting operational requirements to ensure effective use of resources.
- Scheduling outbound deliveries.
- Reviewing customer demand against stock requirements.
- Raising purchase orders with suppliers.

Your Background:
To be considered for the position you should be an experienced production planner, ideally with experience in the use of Sage 200. You should be competent in the interpretation of large amounts of data.
