Production Operative / Machine Operator

This company is an award winning supplier of seasonal and everyday chocolate confectionery. They produce quality products for some of the biggest high street names from their factory in Sherburn in Elmet.

They are recruiting for Machine Operators who are keen to develop and progress. Machine Operators are required to operate a number of different packing machines such as foilers, netters and bagging machines.

They will provide full training and guidance but it would be a distinct advantage if you have worked in food production/ preparation environment, have good manual dexterity, posses a food hygiene/ safety qualification and mindset to do a job "right first time."

The shift pattern for this role covers 24/5, Sunday to Friday with rotating 12 hour day and night shifts;

Week 1: 1750-0600, Sunday - Tuesday
Week 2: 0550-1800, Monday & Tuesday, 1750-0600, Wednesday & Thursday
Week 3: 0550-1800, Wednesday & Thursday, 0550-1630 Friday

The hourly rate of pay is £8 for the first 12 weeks, rising to £9 upon successful completion of a probation period.

Please be aware; there is no public transport to site and therefore own transport is essential.

Benefits: 3% pension, 20 days holiday increasing to 25 days over a 7 year period
