Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled (electrical bias) Maintenance Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis, this role will start on days 37.5hrs for training purposes with the view to working alternate shift (0600-1400 and 1400-2200) as the role develops.

You will play a key role within the Continuous Improvement team and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of Maintenance Engineers responsible for both reactive and planned, preventative maintenance and first-fix repairs on complex, manufacturing equipment. Ranging from injection moulding machines, extrusion machinery, laser printing and automated production lines, this will be a varied role where you will ensure that all maintenance is conducted on time and to the highest of standards, communicating with supervisors and managers and providing them with feedback to foster an environment of Continuous Improvement.

Maintenance activity will include modifications, installations and upgrades in addition to fault finding in the eventuality of machine breakdowns. In what is a technical role, you will need to ensure that health & safety practices, legislation and company procedures are adhered to at all times.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess demonstrable experience of working within a similar capacity in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience of both planned and reactive maintenance (electrical) of complex equipment and machinery, also possessing a relevant and appropriate qualification within an engineering related discipline. You will be a natural problem solver with excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills with an awareness of appropriate health and safety regulations.

You will need to be a team player, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving technical environment. Taking into account the nature of this role, you should be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

In addition it would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a reliability driven culture with knowledge of Lean RCM, TPM or autonomous maintenance.
