Our client, a global provider of engineering software, have an opportunity for an individual to join on a temporary or, temporary to permanent basis as a Facilities Assistant. Our client is based in West Cambridge with onsite parking and an excellent environment. The position of Facilities assistant will attract an hourly rate of GBP11.50 - GBP12.80ph.

You will ideally have 2-3years previous experience within a facilities position, have a hands-on approach. An IOSH / NEBOSH or a BIFM qualification is not essential but would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties which will support the effective operations of the office, these will include office space planning, coordinator of hard and soft facilities services and acting as the main contact for day to day facilities related matters.

Duties could include;

  • Monitoring and responding to helpdesk queries
  • First port of call for all contractor queries
  • Monitoring of contractor's performance
  • Meeting room set up when required
  • Reception cover when needed
  • Administration
  • Assist with office moves and relocations
  • Stock management

Ideally you will have previous in-house experience, have worked within a service provider, have a flexible approach and be able to communicate with individuals of varying backgrounds.
