A world leading grower and packer of fresh produce is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and innovative Farm Manager to manage their growing operation in Cornwall.
Set in the beautiful Cornish countryside, the farm itself covers a significant area of land that spans across the south of Cornwall. It will be your job to manage all farming operations from planting to harvesting.
This will include:
Growing the finest quality fresh produce to supply major UK retailers.
Focusing on regenerative agriculture, soil health and soil maintenance.
Driving forward a culture of continuous improvement.
Leading a team of permanent and seasonal staff and ensuring that you keep your team motivated during peak seasonal periods.
P&L responsibility
The ideal person will be:
Experienced in growing horticultural fresh produce crops or crops such as potatoes or onions.
A strong people manager.
Able to work under pressure.
Willing to look at innovative, sustainable and re-generative farming methods.
Hands on and unafraid to get stuck in.
Go-getting, determined and hardworking.
