Our client is looking for operatives to join their busy and diverse Distribution Centre on a temporary fixed-term contract basis. Distribution Centre Operatives will work 11.5 hour shifts, on a 24/7 shift rotation, working either Days or Night (including weekends).
Our client is also looking for Distribution Centre Operatives to work with them on a casual worker basis; some like the flexible working that means a better work-life balance, others want to gain experience without committing to a permanent job. They look for flexible, reliable, pro-active people to join their Bank, with both day and night shifts available. The more flexible you are, the more choice of shifts you’ll have.
As Distribution Centre Operatives you will be required to work across various departments within the Distribution Centre, demonstrate a flexible approach to work, and show keenness to learn and proactiveness.
Your key responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, and despatching products to customers, performing inventory controls and regular stock takes and you’ll work with colleagues to ensure that working environments are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and are compliant with company and legislative standards. You’ll also follow SOP’s and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations, ensuring you comply with legislative and company policies and procedures regarding Health & Safety, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and correctly and will support with any other duties required for the smooth operation on the warehouse.
Our ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role with strong organisation and time-management skills and a Forklift Truck license would be advantageous. Good communication and English, Maths and I.T skills are essential as is a good level of fitness as you will be required to receive, pick and dispatch stock therefore heavy lifting will be involved.
