A Homewares Buying Role, working for an independent retail group based in North Yorkshire.
We are a very established and successful independent retail group who are continuing to grow. We now have a very exciting job opportunity for an experienced Buyer to maximise sales and profit opportunities through effective range planning and buying across our multi-channel business. You will work alongside a professional and friendly team, and you will have plenty of opportunity for career progression.
You will be carrying out continuous range planning and buying with regular review of product performance based on the sales history, stock levels, stock turn and margin achieved. You will be sourcing and costing new product lines to ensure profitability targets across all sales channels are achieved. You will be effectively managing the OTB against the seasonal budget and in take targets whilst maintaining control of options bought for allocated space. You will be liaising regularly with store and Online Sales Managers to understand and react to sales performance.
What you'll need to succeed:
You will be an experienced Buyer with history in a similar position and have strong analytical skills to succeed in this role. You will need to be a confident negotiator and able to build a commercial range.
In the role you will be travelling around the north of England meeting suppliers and visiting stores so you must have a full, clean driving license.
Previous experience of buying homewares is preferable but not essential.
