Technical Account Manager

Our client, a family owned engineering company is looking for a Technical Account Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You'll be joining a tight knit team in a small, but bustling office environment.

Within the role your tasks will include:

Acting as first point of contact for customers, answering product queries
Providing selections advice and estimate pricing over the phone, using your product knowledge to supply comprehensive solutions for customers
Receiving technical drawings from customers and preparing technical quotations from these
Proactively contacting customers after their quotation, offering changes and closing the sale
Processing orders on to the system, liaising with manufacturing for lead times
Supporting the customer throughout their order, providing updates and building relationships to ensure a smooth journey and repeat business

When it's quiet you will also source leads and contact companies and book appointments for the field sales team to attend, as well as providing bespoke quotations for them to increase your customer base.
You'll also keep in regular contact with your customers, making outbound calls with the view to gaining orders.

We're looking for a candidate with previous experience providing quotations to the engineering or construction sector.
You will be able to interpret customer drawings and have a technical, solutions focused mindset.
Excellent customer service skills are also required.
We're also looking for someone with a proactive sales nature, happy to make outbound calls and keep up to date with advancements and sales opportunities in the engineering field.

In return our client offers;
A basic salary between £18,000 - £25,000 DOE
