Logistic Planner, Samlesbury , Preston - 6 Month Contract - GBP15 per hour PAYE
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UKs leading Defence companies with offices in Samlesbury.
Responsibilities include:
- Administrative tasks to the Supplier Facing teams discharging activities such as P/O cleanse, issuing RFQ's, Raising P/o's, query resolution and invoice management
- Liaise with the Buyer, Orderbook Planner and appropriate Operations personnel to escalate and resolve workability issues
- Support weekly workload reviews to understand capacity issues
- Release all orders in line with schedule or to ensure resource optimisation whilst adhering to customer requirement dates.
- Monitor the progression of all released orders and support the resolution of issues as appropriate
- Plan/Replan based on feedback from the Capacity Planner and Expeditor
- Regularly liaise with suppliers to understand issues/shortages likely to impact the timely release of orders
Experience required for this role:-
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own.
